I ended up in Hotel Simon Comfort due to my procrastination - I didn't book a room in Kollur in time for our Mookambika Temple visit on the Christmas Day. By the time I tried to book, I couldn't find any options in Kollur and I didn't want to take the risk of travelling with the whole family without a hotel reservation. Then, I found Simon Comfort in the internet and booked 3 double rooms for one night for Rs. 2,020/- per room. I booked the room and transferred the full amount to their bank account. Positives: On the way to Kollur and easy to locate, very close to the highway yet not on the roadside. Friendly and courteous staff - I woke them up at 3 O' clock in the morning for hot water. Clean and neat rooms and clean toilets. Good sleep quality possibly because we were dead tired after the long travel. Not so positives: The lift wasn't working and our rooms were in the second floor - even though clearly it was our bad luck (the repair work was going on), it caused us problems as my aged parents had to climb the stairs. There is no restaurant - so, you have to go out for food. The staff in the hotel at that time spoke only Kannada - but, I didn't find any issues because of the universal sign language :-) In summary, this would be a good option if available for 600-800 range. This is way too overpriced at 2,000 range and I'm not sure whether it was their special price during the holidays.

Humble & Courteous Service with a Good Stay

Unlike all the other reviewers who have marked this hotel as 'Average', the reason for me to rate it as 'Very Good' is the humble and courteous service by the hotel staff. Few things notable are: 1. The hotel is at a very peaceful and calm place somewhat away from the highway. 2. There is no restaurant or any breakfast served. 3. The bathrooms and the room are clean and maintained. 4. There is no telephone to call the reception in the room. If you just need a roof, this hotel is advisable and preferable to the other chaotic hotels like Sharon Hotel in Kundapur.

Stayed at the Simon comfort, as there was a last minute change in plans and Simon Comfort has few rooms available.. was an average experience, staff were friendly, but the hotel needs to be maintained on a regular basis to come to the mainstream

Due to last minute travel plan I dint get much hotel options and hence booked this hotel. Trust me guys, this is the worst hotel I stayed so far. The rate is also too high for this hotel. I recommend not to opt this hotel at all. I communicated 2 days in advance regarding my arrival time i.e.06:00 AM and we reached hotel at 06:30 AM. They told all rooms are occupied and told to wait for 15 mins. Entire family was waiting outside for 2 hours and we got room at 08:30 AM. If you have kids, pls dont opt this hotel. The corridor at each floor is like a hell!!! kids will surely have high chances of skidding and no safety at all. Rooms are pretty ordinary. Though they have AC rooms its not working and makes huge noise. No hot water available at all. They mentioned free breakfast, from where they will give? no restaurant there..how can they provide? they never bothered to give a water bottle also..when asked simply refused to give. We checked out the hotel by noon itself. This is the first hotel that I felt not worth staying and paying so much. It needs lot of attention in terms of maintenance, cleanliness, staff behavior, service quality etc..
